INFO
God’s House Tower (GHT) is a stunning multi-purpose venue at the south eastern entrance to Southampton’s historic and beautifully-preserved Old Town, located at Town Quay Road on the edge of the city centre. Set within the city’s medieval defensive walls, GHT offers a unique glimpse into Southampton’s past, and after an extensive and sensitive refurbishment is now thriving in its present day incarnation as a cutting-edge arts, heritage and events venue.
GHT is an impressive and imposing presence, literally towering over its surroundings, as is befitting for a key component in the medieval city’s defences. The interior is largely as it was hundreds of years ago, and has retained much of the Brutalist concrete stairways and intricate Parquet flooring throughout, from when the building served as the city’s archaeology museum from the 1960’s onwards.
We have a number of unique spaces housed in this iconic 700-year-old Grade 1 Listed Monument, which are Ideal for intimate wedding receptions and larger parties, training days and corporate events. Our spaces are available to hire individually or in combination to create a bespoke and truly special occasion in memorable surroundings.
GHT is a genuinely unique and characterful space to host your wedding reception, party, or pretty much any event you can imagine. With panoramic views across Southampton Water, iconic exterior and fascinating interior that seamlessly blends the ancient and the modern, an occasion at GHT is unlike any other.
